Sacraments of Initiation
BAPTISM- It is the basic Sacrament of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. With the new birth through water and the word we are freed from sin and regenerated as sons of God.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION (click here).
CONFIRMATION- It is a serious and personal decision to follow Christ through the Roman Catholic Church. The baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church because it is the sacrament that gives the Holy Spirit and perfects Baptismal grace.
EUCHARIST- Central sacrament in which we celebrate the memorial of Christ's Death and Resurrection. Children preparing for First Eucharist must be enrolled for 2 years in our Religious Education Program. The celebration completes the Christian initiation, and it is warmly recommended that the faithful receive Holy Communion each time they participate in the celebration of the Eucharist.
Sacraments of Healing
RECONCILIATION- The forgiveness of sins committed after Baptism is granted by this sacrament called the sacrament of conversion, confession, penance, or reconciliation. It is celebrated every Saturday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in our church or by appointment. The ones preparing for their first Holy Communion also celebrate the sacrament towards the end of the preparation.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK- The sacrament has as its purpose to grant a special grace on the Christian experiencing the natural difficulties of a grave illness or old age. It is a way to celebrate the healing power of the Risen Lord for those among us who are sick or dying.
Sacraments of Service
HOLY ORDERS- All baptized persons share in the priesthood of the Risen Lord Jesus. Some are called to share in the ordained ministry of the church as Deacons, Priests, or Bishops. If you or someone you know senses a call from God, please contact the Priest of the Church.
MARRIAGE- It is an alliance for life between a man and a woman in which they become a living sign of God's love for his Church and for our world. Both must be at least 19 years old.
